Construction Mason

Location: Pensacola, FL

The Construction Mason is responsible for executing high-quality masonry work on commercial and government projects. This position requires technical proficiency, blueprint interpretation, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works efficiently within a team environment, and is committed to delivering durable, code-compliant structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Lay brick, block, and stone according to project specifications and blueprints
• Mix and apply mortar, grout, and bonding agents to ensure structural integrity
• Measure, cut, and shape masonry materials to meet design requirements
• Install and align masonry units to precise grade and elevation standards
• Repair or replace damaged masonry structures as required
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
• Collaborate with foremen and other trades to meet project timelines

Qualifications

• Proven masonry experience in commercial or government construction
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
• Strong knowledge of masonry tools, materials, and installation techniques
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Comfortable climbing and working on scaffolding
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required
• Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude

Pay and Benefits

• Full-time, W-2 Employment
• Pay: $25 to $30 per hour, based on experience
